Menu based System using JAVA Netbeans
Java is a widely used programming language expressly designed for use in the distributed environment of the internet. It is the most popular programming language for Android smartphone applications and is among the most favored for edge device and internet of things development.
Java was designed to have the look and feel of the C++ language, but it is simpler to use than C++ and enforces an object-oriented programming model. The source code files (files with a .java extension) are compiled into a format called bytecode (files with a .class extension), which can then be executed by a Java interpreter.
Compiled Java code can run on most computers because Java interpreters and runtime environments, known as Java Virtual Machines (VMs), exist for most operating systems, including UNIX, the Macintosh OS, and Windows.
Bytecode can also be converted directly into machine language instructions by a just-in-time Compiler (JIT). Java can be used to create complete applications that may run on a single computer or be distributed among servers and clients in a network. It can also be used to build a small application module or applet for use as part of a webpage.
In project provided, users can add food items through GUI and table stores and displays the records. We can also delete the records displayed on the table. One can make a search based on price and category. Search on price display items of a particular price entered.
And search on category display the number of food items of that category along with their names. Suitable errors and information message are displayed to maintain the usability of the system. Such as if we enter invalid price and category then the message having information ‘Invalid Price or Category’ is displayed.
